Plus, we'll be touring some of the area’s best garden centers and experiencing some hidden gems in the Raleigh-Durham area – and much more!

The Fall Event is all about sharing, learning, and growing... it's a unique convergence of networking, learning, and fun in one single package. It forces you to grow and challenge yourself. No matter how long you’ve been in retail or your position in your company, there’s always something to learn.

There are countless reasons why you should attend The Fall Event, but we’ve managed to narrow it down to five: 

	Connect with your Peers. We know you’ve heard it all before, but networking is crucial for your success. Meeting face-to-face with your peers allows you to discover new ideas, collaborate with others, and tap into a wealth of knowledge. 	Collaborate with our Service Providers. Our Service Providers are industry experts and solution providers with valuable insights, advice, and knowledge about the world of garden retailing. The Fall Event offers you a chance to discuss your most significant challenges, discover fresh ideas, and learn about successful strategies that have worked for others.
	Learn from our Speakers and Facilitators. Our speakers are leaders in the industry – thought leaders that embody The Group's spirit of ingenuity and entrepreneurial drive that will introduce you to new concepts, spark your imagination, and open your mind to new ways of thinking about how you do business every day that can help grow your business!
	Engage with our Sponsors. Our sponsors are top industry suppliers that offer the products and services you need to run a successful garden center. Take some time during breaks to engage with them. Although their products can be found on their websites, this is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on demonstrations, ask specific questions, and see their newest products or what’s in development. Use this invaluable time to develop profitable business partnerships through one-on-one interactions with our sponsors.
	Sharpen Your Saw. Although the “sharpen the saw” concept pre-dates Stephen Covey's book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, the idea is that taking a break from your work to enhance your skills is crucial. Just as a dull axe can’t cut a tree nearly as effectively as a sharp one. Don't be like the woodcutter who continues to hack away at a tree with a dull axe. Instead, invest in yourself and your business by learning new skills or improving existing ones. Leaving the garden center and "sharpening the saw" can help you work smarter, not harder, and achieve your goals faster.

The Fall Event is a lot of learning packed into a short amount of time, but we always make time for some relaxation and fun! We recommend coming a few days early or staying over to explore on your own. You’ll go home re-energized and ready to apply all that you’ve learned to make your center more successful! And, allowing your employees to get out of the garden center, gain confidence in their ability, and bring fresh ideas back to the business is an investment in your company.

The Fall Event 2024 set a new record in attendance and expanded sponsorship. The four-day event buzzed with positive energy and provided garden retailers with the ideal opportunity to engage with sponsors, see new products and learn about new programs, network with peers, and collaborate and learn from industry experts.

The event featured a dynamic schedule of sessions, breakouts, a full-day tour, and gatherings designed to foster collaboration and lasting connections between participants. These gatherings included a Sponsor Showdown before the Opening Session, a Welcome Reception on Monday evening, and a Group Gathering on Tuesday evening.
